We live in Portugal. My wife has horses, so we needed to purchase a small farm, called a quinta.

We have a kitchen garden, fruit trees, cork trees, olive trees and two small vineyards. Most of the property is given over to raising food for the horses, and for the horses themselves. Our pension incomes mean that we do not have to extract everything possible as subsistence farmers. We can have leisure.
